As for the Chinese New Year beer, it was an unprecedented failure. I felt that it lacked a more assertive floral note, so at racking time I actually added some rose water. Its actually rose distillate, and smells fantastic on its own. Alas, it became WAY overpowering after the beer got carbed up and chilled. One of those times when less is more! I'll probably be dumping this batch.
